Find the cause before replacing parts

A no-start fault can involve the battery, connections, starter, charging system or another electrical issue. We assess the symptoms before recommending a replacement. Book a diagnostic visit if you are unsure where to start.

Starter and alternator replacement

Where the fault and vehicle access allow mobile repair, we can supply and fit a suitable starter or alternator. Your quote confirms parts, labour, access and any further testing before work begins.

Know the next step and cost

Send your registration, suburb and a short description of what happens when you turn the key or press start. Parts and repairs are quoted for your vehicle. A $5 fuel levy including GST applies per visit, with extra travel confirmed before booking.

Starter and Alternator Repairs questions

Will a new alternator fix a flat battery?

Not every flat battery is caused by the alternator. Battery condition, charging output, connections and other faults may need checking first.

Can you replace a starter at my home?

Many jobs can be completed at a suitable home or workplace. We confirm the vehicle, access, parts and work required before arranging the repair.

What if I do not know whether it is the battery or starter?

Describe the symptoms when you call. An initial diagnostic appointment may be the appropriate first step; repair costs are confirmed separately.
